FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Washington, DC — This week, Business Forward asked business leaders to sign a letter commending the Biden Administration’s Day One executive orders, including revoking the Muslim travel ban, rejoining the Paris Climate Accord, and establishing pandemic precautions and relief. More than 1,000 business leaders representing 44 states, districts, and territories signed on, applauding the swift actions and highlighting their impact on small businesses.

“The ability of U.S. businesses to attract overseas buyers is affected by the image the U.S. projects. The executive actions are steps toward restoring a favorable image,” said Stephen Crilly, an Attorney in Palm Bay, Florida.

Lynn Colangione, of Orleans, Massachusetts, shared her experience as the owner of Baskins Hardware: “The pandemic relief actions are extremely important to my business, because my staff of 50 people work on the front line in retail, serving hundreds of customers a day in our stores. They are all eager to be vaccinated, so they aren’t putting themselves at risk each day just by going to work.”

Crilly and Colangione demonstrate the business community support for creating a more economically competitive, inclusive America, and a cleaner, healthier, more prosperous future. To read more statements of support, and learn why these executive actions are beneficial to small business, you can access our full report here.

As the Biden Administration continues to reverse policies that hurt our economy, workplaces, and communities, business leaders are enthusiastic about the future. “Business thrives with stability, vision and decisiveness,”  said Joel Volk, President of Mercury Document Imaging in Agoura Hills, California.
